The flax seed we use in our products is organically grown in North Dakota, largest producer of organic flax seed in the country. Our Flax Oil is all natural and organic and contains lignans. The process is a cold expeller press, no heat or chemicals are used in the making of the oil. The seed used in the making of the oil is certified organic and depending on the supply is either gold or brown. Both contain the same excellent qualities and taste exactly the same. You may notice particulate (small pieces of the seed ) in the oil, this is where part of the lignans are contained. Our oil is not filtered, it is only left to settle a bit. It is bottled in dark bottles to retain the nutrient qualities of flax oil. We do not bottle too far ahead so the oil is as fresh as possible. To retain the freshness and nutrients of the oil it should be refrigerated after opening and can be frozen for 6 months to a year. It will still be as good as the day it was made.

The Flax Hull Lignans are concentrated and contain 70 times more lignans than ground flax seed or what is found in oil. The process is an all natural process that mechanically takes the coat off the flax seed. No chemicals are used in this procedure. We can supply Certified organic and commercial or standard lignans for our customers. Both are organically grown and are basically the same except for the certification.
